Questionnaire
By now you will have read the 1st Birchington Booklet and been approached by Raksha or another leader with regard to helping support you child in their scouting.
We are always grateful for support at section meetings. If everyone put their name on a rota it would mean you only had to volunteer around twice a year.
Obviously we are always looking for leaders especially in our Scout and Explorer section where, with no offence to the leaders, we could really do with some younger blood.
Also as you now understand the upkeep of the hall is entirely our responsibility as is the Rates, Electric, Gas etc. We use gift aid to cover this but we have to raise funds for any maintenance. If any of you feel you could help with the maintenance of our hut we would like to hear from you.
As far as fund raising goes we need your help with organising, running and supporting our events. Your support for the Christmas Fair, Phil the Bag and Fashion show has been fantastic. In the past we have held quiz nights, bingo, barn dances, summer fayres, Christmas fayres, sponsors etc. We would welcome any new ideas or are you happy with this kind of thing. How about a dads night or breakfast at the beach.
