PLEASE LOOK UNDER PHOTO GALLERY TO SEE THE HARAMBEE THINGS - 13-06-2010Raksha and Charlie went to Heathfield on Sunday to collect the things to sell to raise money for Harambee for Kenya. A project to get children from Kisi Kenya off the streets and safe. We will be selling the things which start at £1 to £20 at the AGM on 2nd July and at QUEXPO on 10th 11th July. If anyone has any ideas for selling the things ie by holding a coffee morning/eve, having a party (on the lines of a bodyshop or tuppawear) or anything else we would be very grateful. The whole group is working for this project so this involves Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Exploreres. Some of the items are made of wood, there are bead necklaces and bracelets but most of the items are made of soapstone which is mined and crafted by young people who were once living on the streets. More information regarding this project can be given by Raksha, Charlie or Beech. more news articles... | Upcoming eventsLatest newsDont throw your old clothes away over the summer |
