Dont throw your old clothes away over the summer - 22-07-2010We have signed up to a reycling scheme that will start in the new term. It is called "Phil the Bag" more information can be found on www.philthebag.co.uk The scheme encourages clhildren and their families to bring unwanted clothes, belts, bags and bedding to their scout hut in the special Phil The Bag sacks they provide. I have checked out the scheme with a school secretary in their "testimonials" page and she says it is genuine and not a scam. (we have been caught in one of those before) The scheme will be included in our badgework throughout all sections. As you know we are always recyling. This will make it a little easier for the beavers, cubs, scouts and explorers to become involved. We still need stamps and are happy to take glasses and shoes Also pre used wellingtons, wet weather gear, hike boots that can be sold on to others in the group to raise funds. Could you please also keep a look out for the old fashioned wool blankets these are needed for all sections as camp blankets.
